Overall implication of Media and Information to an individual and the society as a whole

      Everyone belongs to a society, community, country and in the world. When we talk about community, it is a group of people who have the same interests, a goal to have a better life and to change the things in their surroundings. People have their work, they have their own life but still have concerns to the environments because it can affects everything.
     Nowadays, the world are really far from its look from the beginning. The people in this time were using cellphones, tablets, laptops, Facebook, blog, and websites to communicate, because we are now in New Media age. The age to use wireless networks and different high-tech ways to make a task easier.
     The media and information is very important for everyone because it can bring a society or individual at the top or at the bottom. With the use of media it can provoke a person to make actions. For example, a coming typhoon in Philippines had been reported, with the use of television and radio as its media the people get the information and then they prepared  survival kits as their actions or feedback. While the others who didn't receive the information don't have their survival kits. There fore media and information is very important that it can save life and avoid you from hazard.
       In a country, it can put a country on the top, by the use of fastest ways of communicating. In the world, America is one of the most powerful country because they have the new materials, they have new materials and device because the process of communication, messages, data and information is fast. America is one of the country with the fastest internet connection. The pass of the new information that they discover in every minute is so fast . So the production is also fast.
      The world is busy and the people is working. The other says there's no time to make mistakes, so do your work a better job. Media can change many things, that for just in a minute, you can lose all that you have.

Opportunities and Challenges in Media and Information

       The students are going to school to learn, to show their talents and improve it. School is a place where you can learn most of the important things in the world. A room with different personality but has a single goal. It is a community that helps you to reach your dreams and disciplines you whenever you do wrong deeds. And it is a home for the people who loves to share and spread the knowledge to everyone.
       Every Monday to Friday, people are going to school, the teachers are preparing their lesson plan to ensure that their students will learn a helpful things each day, while the students are preparing themselves to listen to the information that they can gain from the knowledgeable person that will come in their room. That means that their wisdom is based in the efforts that the teaching personal give to them and depends upon to the disciplines they put in their selves. And the students are hoping to build strong foundations for their future.
      They are many opportunities to have the information that we need but there are some characteristic that prevents it to happen. For example a teacher get its lessons from the internet but there are wrong details in the module. The teacher didn't know about the wrong details, and she wants to finish that module early because she have set the class into a activity. If the teacher won't notice that details, the students will learn wrong things or will gain false information.
     So here, the better action in that situation is to review the lessons first and do not expect that everything is in good conditions. Internet is a device where you can put information and data that can be see by many people. For some it can be useful but for others are not, and some of them tried to change some of the information and replace it by some wrong details. If the students spread the information that they think is right, many people will be affected by this mistake.
      In the other hand, a student also have opportunities to share information to others. But if a students didn't understand a certain lesson and she pretends that she really understand clearly the lesson, then one of her classmates asked her to share some of details of their lesson and she continue to pretend, the wrong information will be spread to others. And this will not only affect that two students but the whole school because it is a situation inside the school and it can be spread by many people. It may bring bad image for that school.
      But all of this is can be erase and may bring positive effects to the school if the teacher review the lesson first to correct all of the wrong details so that it can be easily understand by the students. And if the student understand it, many people will know about that and will bring good image to the school.

SHS building, On-going

      The construction of  building for Senior High School (SHS) students is now 

started to build in Jose J. Mariano Memorial High School (JJMMHSS) of Bintog, 

Plaridel, Bulacan before the end of the year 2016. The building was said to be 

3 storey 6 classroom School Building.

      The government provided P 9,701,958.34 as the budget for the construction from 

the National Fund. The contractor and supplier is  Framecon Builders which has 

been implemented by the Bulacan 1st DEO with the guide of Department of Public 

Works and Highways (DPWH).

      "Natuwa kami nung nalaman namin na gagawin na yung building na para sa'min talaga

kasi kahit na konti pa lang kami, yung mga senior high, naramdaman namin na 

tinutuloy pa rin ng DepEd yung sinabi nila." a student says.

      She added that the students was excited and they are willing to wait the time

allotment specially now that they are expecting more students to enrolled in 

JJ Mariano for Grade 11.

      "Masaya ako...dahil madagdagdagan ung pwedeng gamiting rooms ng mga bata meaning mas madame ang pwedeng makapag SHS sa school naten..." Ms. Iris Ruth Gonzales, SHS teacher, said.

      A teacher said it is better to have the constructions in this months because the 

students will have their break for celebrating Christmas and New Year, and if they

will wait to create it in vacation, it is so late and it's not good because student's 

environment has a big role for their study.

      Now, Grade 11 students are using the 2 storey 4 room school building. Sometimes 

they experience vibration in their building when construction is at the class hours.

They are hoping now to complete the construction and form the building firm.

      

"Salubong Festival"

       Salubong Festival is one of the popular events in Plaridel, Bulacan,
celebrating at the poblacion every 29th of December for honoring Santiago
Apostol as their patron saint. The festival was known and joined by the
celebrities each year. The festival was presented with the parade of horses.
   

       Plarideleños believe that Santiago Apostol was a spanish who loves to ride
in his horse. He is one of the against to the wrongdoings of spanish in the
Philippines and he joined the fight for the rights of Filipinos. He died in the
midst of battle. After his death, there are some rumor that they see Santiago
 Apostol alive. And he still joining and visiting the festival of Plaridel.   

      They start the festival with a mass, then preceding of a parade of different
horses with different colors and designs of their own chariot. The parade was
from sipat to poblacion led by the band and dancers from different barangays of
Plaridel including the adults, older, teenagers and childrens. They also have list
of activities to be done for their celebration, like competitions for the street
dance held at the San Diego Gym for high school students and elementary
 pupil of Plaridel.

       Last year the festival was joined by RC Muñoz, Edgar Allan De Guzman
and Derick Monasterio during the parade and they been the jury for some
activities with Mayor Jocell Vistan Casaje, mayor of Plaridel.

What Is MIL?

Media and information literacy (MIL) enables people to interpret and make informed judgments as users of information and media, as well as to become skillful creators and producers of information and media messages in their own right.

information literacy focuses in research skills. Media literacy focuses in the delivery of information through the kinds or forms of media. This term is use by the UNESCO to classify combined study from existing study in infomation literacy. In United States it is defined as Information and Communication Technology(ICT). And Gregory Ulmer, defined it as  electracy.

What is Media?

  Media is the medium of commucation or tools that can deliver and store information or data.there are different kinds of media; Print Media, Digital Media and Broadcast Media.The word media is defined as "one of the means or channels of general communication, information, or entertainment in society, as newspapers, radio or television."
